BONITA OASIS RESORT

BONITA OASIS RESORT

Beautiful and idyllic Bonita offers vacationers a great place to relax in Moalboal with its picture-perfect view and the sea's crystal clear waters.

The resort is located near Panagsama Beach and is minutes away from Cebu's popular diving destination - Pescador Island.

Diving enthusiasts will find Bonita a cozy place to stay after
their sea excursion. Families and friends will have a fun time snorkeling, paddling boats, or hanging out in the swimming pool. Couples will surely enjoy a romantic sunset while relaxing in an outdoor Jacuzzi.

The resort is a perfect getaway for everyone. Let Bonita make your Moalboal visit a pleasant and memorable one!

Location

Bonita Oasis is located in Bantayan I, Basdiot, Moalboal in the island of Cebu. Moalboal is arguably the most popular diving spot in South Cebu.

From the island of Mactan where the Mactan-Cebu International Airport is located, guests will pass through Mandaue, Cebu City, Talisay, Naga, San Fernando, Carcar, Barili, Tangil, Dumanjug, Ronda and Alcantara before reaching Moalboal.

During the trip, tourists will get a glimpse of Filipino history and culture. Modern living in the cities and the laid back atmosphere in the rural areas provide a good backdrop. American and Chinese influences can be seen if one looks closely at the business establishments in the cities. Traces of Spanish colonization are reflected in the architecture of old houses and churches in rural areas.

Getting There

Buses leave throughout the day from Cebu South Bus Station to Moalboal. The trip takes three to four hours by bus. Air-conditioned L-300 vans with terminals near the buses are also available. They have no schedules, but leave only when the van is almost full. The trip is shorter and more comfortable due to the lesser number of passengers. The vans charge slightly higher rates than buses.

Upon reaching Moalboal's town center (consisting of a church and a market), a 10-minute tricycle ride will take guests to Bonita Oasis. Guests may also call the resort for pick up.

The resort also organizes van hires from Cebu City or Mactan International Airport to Moalboal.

About Moalboal

Moalboal is Cebu island's most popular diving destination. A three-kilometer boat ride from Tongo Point diving spot leads to tiny Pescador Island. With generally excellent visibility and depths of around 50 meters, the island's water is usually teeming with fishes. Snorkeling at the island's southern side is also recommended.

Climate
Cebu, like the rest of the Philippines, has dry and wet seasons. Dry season in Cebu is from March to May. The hottest month is May when temperatures could reach as high as 38oC. Although the rainy season from June to February is long, it is not very intense. Typhoons visit the region but Cebu is often spared from devastation unlike the islands directly facing the ocean.
