FAMILIA XIAMEN CUISINE

Familia Xiamen Cuisine is the first Chinese restaurant to combine dimsum house and fine dining concept of Chinese cuisine with traditional Pinoy favorites.   The restaurant was put up by the owners due to their passion for chinese cuisine and local Filipino favorite dishes, hanging out with friends and enjoying quality time with family members. 

The restaurant envisions to be the leading Chinese fast food dimsum house cum fine dining restaurant by offering sumptuous, excellent quality chinese dishes and local Filipino favorites with excellent customer service and providing a clean, modern ambiance dining  and food at affordable prices  

House specialty products include the Owachian, Mosho Pork, Fish Fillet in Chinese Wine, Shrimps Butterfly to name a few.  Among the Pinoy favorites, their Patatim with Pao, Sweet and Sour Pork, Prawn Steak in Garlic usually runs out of stock.  Offered also are sumptuous seafood dishes, live crab cooked to your desired method, vegetarian dishes and yummy soups. 

Delectable desserts include the Peanut Soup, Halo-Halo and leche flan. The restaurant introduces two new dishes every two weeks so regular customers do not get tired of coming back for more.  One can ask from any of the friendly staff as to what are the new dishes being introduced. 

Customers can also request for special dishes to be cooked if the restaurant is not that fully booked.  Expect Chinese style beer match set to perk up your gatherings on weekends.  Set of 5 beers entitles customer to a free dish of peanut platter or crispy fried chicken skin. 

Familia Xiamen Cuisine is located at Unit 2 &3, One Mango Avenue Bldg., Gen. Maxilom Ave., Cebu City (opposite Mango Square).  They accept catering and deliveries.  Business hours are from 8am to 11pm Sundays to Thursdays and 9am to 4am on Fridays and Saturdays. 

RECIPE

OWACHIAN (OYSTER OMELETTE)   

Ingredients:

150g fresh oysters                         

50g bean sprouts

50g camote flour

One half egg-white

½ cup distilled water

A pinch iodized salt

Vegetable oil

5g yansoy or kinchay 

Instructions:

1.        Mix the camote flour, distilled water, iodized salt, egg white together with the bean sprouts.  Mix well.

2.       Heat some oil into the pan.  Pour some of the mixture onto the pan. Pan fry till a layer is starting to form.  Pour in the contents with bean sprouts and then add the oysters on top. 

3.       Pan fry the bottom till golden brown.  Pour remaining mixture on top of the omelet and turn the omelet to the other side.  Pan fry till golden brown.

4.       Place cooked omelet on fresh round plate. Cut into 6 or 8 pieces and garnish with yansoy or kinchay on top.

5.       Serve hot, with desired dipping sauce if desired.
