That man, Dr. Paulo C. Campos, one of the very few Filipino National Scientists noted for his work on nuclear medicine, has been recognized and awarded for his numerous researches and publications. He is also credited for establishing the first and best known Radioisotope Laboratory in the Philippines, the first Research Laboratory in the Department of Medicine, University of the Philippines and the Thyroid Clinic of the UP-PGH Medical Center.

AT PRESENT
YLFI-EAC is to open its doors for those interested to pursue a career in Dental Technology through its International Dental Technology Institute, a haven to state-of-the-art facilities. This assures the enrollees that within two years, they are on their way to enjoy a zooming career, considering the colossal need of the world, particularly of the European, American and Asian countries, for dental technologists.

Likewise, YLFI-EAC, through its International Language Center (ILC) is embarking on offering English as a foreign/second language to student-foreigners. The Institution is also on its way to gift the world with Medical Transcriptionists.

The school takes pride of its facilities, the latest of which is the Dynamic English (DYNED) laboratory, which is used to better hone students in English. The UPSI Group of Companies is a training ground for business-related course offerings. The Manila Pearl Hotel, a subsidiary of UPSI, serves as practicum place for HRM students. MCM, another UPSI subsidiary, still serves as clinical area for para-medical students.

YLFI-EAC also prides itself in having built the EAC Sports and Cultural complex, home to the 36th Season of the Women’s National Collegiate Athletic Association (WNCAA) and the 23rd ASEAN Games (Arnis and Wushu) on November 24 to December 1, 2005.
