CHOOSING WHERE TO STAY: Mactan Hotel or Mactan Resort

Mactan Hotel - business traveller wanting easy access to Mactan commercial areas
Mactan Cebu Resort - if you're looking to spend more time at the beach

If you're staying in a Mactan hotel, you may take a taxi to any nearby beach resort and spend the day there. Most resorts have day-use packages including food and use of the facilities.

CHOOSING WHERE TO STAY: Mactan Hotel or Cebu Hotel

It is generally more convenient to stay at a hotel in Cebu City proper, unless you have particular business in Mactan, want to spend most of the time in the beach, or want to be close to the Cebu airport. From airport to Cebu City proper it is 30 minutes (if no traffic or during Sundays) or up to 1 hour during rush hour or regular days.

Ace Penzionne - from PhP 900 nett good for two. Breakfast is not free but there's a restaurant at the roof deck and Gaisano Mactan Mall is right across the hotel. Best Suites Hotel - from PhP 1,400 nett good for two. No breakfast but there's a coffee shop in-house. AA's barbeque is also closeby. Free WIFI in all rooms. No free airport transfers but it is easy to take a taxi for the 2 minute ride from airport to the hotel.
Goldberry Suites - from PhP 1980 nett for two with breakfast and free roundtrip Cebu airport transfers. Complimentary internet connection in room. 7-10 minutes from airport.
Mactan Pension House - from PhP 950 nett good for two without breakfast.
