History:
Thomas Cook (1808 - 1892) was the founder of organized group travel, and one of the world’s largest travel companies. His vision broke frontiers and opened up travel to ordinary people.
Cook's London office in Fleet Street, on the corner of Ludgate Circus, opened in 1865. The Great Exhibition of 1851 brought him an excellent opportunity to expand his business.
