The Tondo Medical Center is located at North Bay Boulevard, Balut, Tondo, Manila. It is a 200-bed capacity tertiary public medical center established in 1971 by virtue of Republic Act no. 6375. It presently operates under the supervision and control of the Department of Health (DOH). It has eight departments, all of which are currently accredited with their respective specialty societies except for EENT and Pathology which are still in the process of accreditation. Tondo Medical Center shall be an effective and efficient government health agency under the leadership of the Department of Health to ensure equity, quality, and access to health care services delivering curative, promotive and preventive health services, thus, rendering this hospital as a true Center of Wellness for our people. A. Goals and Objectives Goal 1: To provide in-patient tertiary care to as many residents of Tondo and nearby areas. Goal 2: To provide out-patient (ER/OPD) health care to as many residents of Tondo and nearby areas. Goal 3: To sustain the coverage of health promotion and disease prevention activities. Goal 4: To empower employees to be a competent and efficient health service provider Goal 5: To enhance patient's satisfaction in terms of quality service
Objective 1: To deliver adequate quality tertiary care to in-patients and decrease admissions of primary and secondary cases. Objective 2: To deliver prompt quality service to all emergency and out-patients. Objective 3: To increase public awareness on health promotion and disease prevention. Objective 4: To conduct training activities for staff development. Objective 5: To institutionalize various quality assurance activities.
