PHILIPPINES-AUSTRALIA QUALITY TECHNICAL VOCATIONAL EDUCATION TRAINING (PAQTVET) ICC-Cebu was invited by the AUS-AID to participate in a project intended to intensify I.T. training here in the Philippines in an effort to make our I.T. professionals globally competitive. This gave birth to the Philippines-Australia Quality Technical Vocational Education Training(PAQTVET) Project. ICC-Cebu is one of the few schools in Region VII that are participating in the project as pilot centers. CEBU EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION FOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (Cedf-IT) This project is also in consonance with the drive of the Cebu Edudational Foundation for Information Technology (Cedf-IT), an association of academic and industry-based organizations working towards making Cebuano I.T. practitioners at par with those abroad, of which ICC-Cebu is a member.
MICROSOFT PARTNER IN LEARNING PROJECT (PIL) Through the participation in the Partner in Learning project, ICC-Cebu gained membership in the Microsoft Developer Network. Academic Alliance and Microsoft IT Academy. This membership brought to fruition and grant of the latest versions of software from Microsoft. The end-beneficiaries of this acquisition are the students who will be equipped with the skills in the most advanced software.
PHILIPPINE-GERMAN TECHNICAL COOPERATION
Another milestone that ICC-Cebu was able to finalize is a technical cooperation with the Philippine-German Development Cooperation under the Small Medium Enterprise Development for Sustainable Employment Program. The program is geared towards helping ICT training providers intensify their capabilities to provide sound training to ICT practitioners and in effect boost the ICT sector in Cebu. |
