En route to Maribojoc town, the tour stops at the Castillo de San Vicente (Punta Cruz watchtower). The deep sea waters surrounding Pamilacan Island, part of the globally significant Bohol Marine Triangle (BMT), is home to at least 11 of the 22 known species of marine mammals in the country. As a migratory highway towards Indonesia and Malaysia, the BMT is frequented by long-snouted spinner, bottlenose, and risso's dolphins because of its rich feeding ground. Get fascinated with the Ermita ruins-burial chambers built between 1800-1815 exclusive for Spanish priests at the back of Dimiao Church. Unearthed by archaeologists of the National Museum, the chamber near the main entrance and remnant walls were believed to be 19th century fortification against Moro raiders of the slave trade.
